St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation has 20 primitive campsites at the Bonnet Carre' Spillway Lower Guide Levee Side. 

It costs $10 per night to camp at the Spillway, and permits are open to residents and non-residents. Payments collected assist with the campsites' maintenance, repairs and cleanliness.
